Exercise 2.4 : Woodpecker

Find a subject in front of a background with depth. Take a very close viewpoint and zoom in;
you’ll need to be aware of the minimum focusing distance of your lens. Focus on the subject
and take a single shot. Then, without changing the focal length or framing, set your focus to
infinity and take a second shot.

Both images above show how the depth of field can be manipulated to give differing results.

A large aperture (say f2.8) will produce a shallow depth of field (Picture 1), whilst a smaller aperture (f11) will produce a larger depth of field (Picture 2)

An even larger aperture (f22) will allow for a perfectly focused photograph like the image below.
