St Albans Gallery Visit

Today I took a trip into town to visit the St Albans Museum and Gallery, specifically to see the current installation by Liz West, “Our Colour Reflection”.

I’d seen it on various social media pages, and being a lover of colour, I just knew I needed to go up and see it for myself along with my camera and I was not disappointed.

More than 700 coloured acrylic disks make up the installation currently housed in the grand Assembly Rooms in the gallery, with the modern art work being overlooked by a trio of the most beautiful glass chandeliers you have ever seen.

It was a gorgeous sunny day which I think really added to the work, as the reflections on the wall were incredible, with coloured light beams bouncing off every surface.

Luckily I got to enjoy the space by myself so had the time to take quite a few photographs from different vantage points.

The installation is on display until the 19th March, and well worth a visit if you are in the area.
